What is artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence by machines. It has been defined in many ways, but in general it can be described as a means of making a computer system “smart”, i.e. capable of understanding complex tasks and executing complex commands.
AI research addresses the question of how to create computers capable of intelligent behavior. AI applications can be deployed in several ways, including:
1. Machine learning: This is a method of teaching computers to learn from data, without being explicitly programmed.
2. Natural language processing: This involves teaching computers to understand human language and respond in a way that is natural to humans.
3. Robotics: This is the application of AI to build robots that can interact with their environment in a way similar to humans.
4. Predictive analytics: This is a method of using AI to make predictions about future events, trends, and behaviors.
