Abu Dhabi Airports to host Air Expo 2022 from November 1-3

ABU DHABI, 24th October, 2022 (WAM) — The aviation elite will descend on the nation’s capital from November 1-3 where the tenth edition of the Abu Dhabi Air Expo will open with massive attendance from general aviation, airlines, airports and airport authorities, civil aviation, aviation technology, cargo and many other sectors.

Abu Dhabi Airports (AD Airports), the operator of five airports in the capital, is the official host of Air Expo 2022, which this year covers an area of ​​80,000 square meters of exhibition space with an expected participation/exposure of 200 companies, including general aviation industry leaders such as Dassault, Gulfstream, Cirrus, Sanad, Abu Dhabi Aviation, Royal Jet, Falcon Aviation Services (FAS), Abu Dhabi Holding (ADQ), AERO and Global Air Navigation Services (GANS), to name a few.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “Hosting this event reflects the emirate’s commitment to fostering the growth and development of the aviation and transport sectors. aerospace, which continue to play an important role in the socio-economic development of Abu Dhabi by facilitating connectivity, trade, logistics and tourism. The long-awaited biannual event is back after a 4-year hiatus, due to COVID-19, and expects the participation of over 18,000 delegates from around the world. Aviation experts will discuss the latest advancements, amid major announcements, a new forum for aviation thinking and a more relaxed setting for one-on-one meetings.

“Aviation Think Tank” is a new addition to Expo activities this year and has already attracted more than 80 industry speakers who will speak on topics such as the growth and future of air cargo, the role and the importance of aviation training and development, green aviation, the role of women in aviation, sustainability in aviation, air traffic management and airport security, maintenance operations and the future of maintenance, artificial intelligence and robotics, airport retail services, urban mobility, hybrid eVTOL aircraft as well as the future of aviation post-pandemic.

Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2022 brings together industry leaders and seasoned professionals to network, exchange ideas and showcase the latest in general aviation technology and equipment. The three-day event will showcase the latest innovations in private jets, helicopters, executive charter aircraft services, airport equipment and services, avionics systems, insurance and of financing.

As usual, Expo organizers have confirmed that there will be a number of flyovers for delegates and visitors, both from commercial aircraft and an aerobatic display from Team Al Fursan, part of the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
