Big 2022, the giant event for entrepreneurs at the Accor Arena

by Lara Rinaldi

“The objective is to create the largest gathering in Europe to bounce back, get inspired and develop your business”, explains Patrice Bégay, executive director of communication at Bpifrance. The “Bpifrance Inno Génération” (Big), which returns for its eighth edition, brought together more than 62,000 people in person and 20 million digitally in 2021. “It is a question of representing all the French entrepreneurial diversity with interventions from personalities from the economic world but also cultural or sporting”, specifies Patrice Bégay. Workshops, conferences and meetings to develop your business… Overview of the 2022 edition.

More than 500 workshops and conferences

From business creation to sustainable development, via artificial intelligence or cybersecurity, the topics covered during the workshops will be varied. The objective is to give the keys to business creators or managers to respond to the various problems encountered during the entrepreneurial adventure. In total, nearly 260 hours of content will be produced, which participants will then be able to view on the event’s website.

Spaces dedicated to the challenges of tomorrow

For this edition, new spaces have been created, where visitors can discover the innovations of the France 2030 program or immerse themselves in Web3 and understand new trends such as the metaverse, NFTs or blockchain. A platform will also be dedicated to export with the presence of 47 countries. “Experts from all over the world will come together to support French entrepreneurs who export”, welcomes Patrice Bégay.

Exchange and be accompanied

Absent from previous editions due to the health crisis, the Place des Rendez-vous is back this year. Project leaders will thus be able to develop their network and interact with more than 500 investors, buyers, advisers and experts. In 2021, more than 16,000 connections had taken place, digitally. The various support networks will also be present to meet business creators.

Personalized routes

All the communities of the entrepreneurial ecosystem will be represented: start-ups, industry, sustainable development, etc. To better prepare for their visit, participants have the option of creating a personalized itinerary and registering in advance for the various workshops. “A new digital tool makes it possible to obtain suggestions for conferences and spaces, according to the profile of the manager and his centers of interest”, explains Patrice Bégay. Ten paths have been imagined: business creators, young people and students, leaders, deeptech, climate, international, French Tech, French Fab, French Touch and French Care.

A theme: metamorphosis

The big Bang stage will welcome many personalities who will come to share their “metamorphosis”. Among the speakers: Yann Arthus Bertrand, photographer and founder of GoodPlanet, Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, Xavier Niel, CEO of Iliad and Lucie Bash, president and co-founder of Too Good to go. Patrice Bégay will also lead a workshop entitled “Dare the metamorphosis” where, for example, former athletes who have become entrepreneurs David Douillet and Mathieu Flamini, or even Audrey Deverloy, recently appointed president of Sanofi France, will intervene.
