The French bioproduction sector, grouped within the Campus Biotech Digital, a leading industrial consortium led by bioMérieux, Sanofi and Servier, is forging a partnership with Oteci (Organisation for the Transmission of Intergenerational Experience and Skills), an association of experts senior volunteers. The latter are thus mobilized to build the 100% digital training modules of the immerscio.bio platform that meet the quality and compliance criteria required by the biotechnology industry.

Experts mobilized on the construction of bioproduction training modules

The immerscio.bio platform aims to develop breakthrough innovations to increase productivity, produce on French territory, create jobs, and make France a European leader in bioproduction by 2030.

Since November 2022, two volunteer senior experts from Oteci Languedoc Roussillon, specialized in the field of biotechnologies, have been working hand in hand with the Campus Biotech Digital in order to provide their expertise in the sector to develop the training modules for the platform. immerscio.bio. Campus Biotech Digital is committed to supporting the association financially and promoting the know-how and knowledge of its volunteers.

“I am honored by the arrival of Oteci’s network of experts made up of talented retired senior experts and pre-retired volunteers from the bioproduction sector, which reinforces the development of training courses on the whole value of research, development, production and delivery of biomedicines. This collaboration will allow immerscio.bio to strengthen its influence on the attractiveness of professions in the sector, while contributing to the development of the sector and being part of the ambitions of France 2023.” adds Karim Vissandjee, General Manager of Campus Biotech Digital.

Created more than 40 years ago, Oteci aims to ensure the intergenerational transmission of knowledge and skills thanks to the many volunteer expert members who are part of it. It allows retirees and pre-retirees who wish to remain active to get involved in supporting companies that need experts. Oteci also helps students to integrate into the professional world.

Georges Sayac (former GMP Quality Assurance manager at Sanofi Aventis Research and Development) and Alain Bayol (former manager of the Analytical Sciences Department at Sanofi-Aventis R&D), volunteer members of Oteci since 2007 and 2014 respectively, have accompanied since November and for several months the Campus Biotech Digital in the development of its training courses. They thus work to ensure the adequacy of the developed modules to the BPF regulations (GMP) as well as to the analytical and quality control in the field of biotechnologies.

“Thanks to new technologies, it is now possible to train professionals in biotechnologies in an entirely digital way, which makes the proposal of the immerscio.bio platform completely unique and innovative in the bioproduction sector. We are delighted to be able to participate in this project with Oteci and to provide our expertise and knowledge. » emphasizes Alain Bayol.

immerscio.bio, an immersive educational approach

Resolutely collaborative and immersive, it relies on the agile methodology of “design process thinking” in order to adapt to innovations in a constantly changing sector. Its offer of initial and continuous training, both complete and personalized, aims to support the strong growth of the sector which plans to create thousands of jobs over the next ten years. Thanks to its 100% digital format, which can also include a face-to-face part, immerscio.bio will make it possible to design the training courses of tomorrow.

Covering the entire bioproduction chain, from design to delivery of the product to the patient, immerscio.bio uses various digital tools reproducing the essential stages of production (digital twins, serious game, immersive reality, virtual reality, augmented reality) and cognitive approaches supported by artificial intelligence to promote the understanding of processes and the appropriation of professional practices.
