QUEBEC, June 21, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – The Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital Technology and Minister responsible for Access to Information and the Protection of Personal Information, Mr. Éric Caire, announces the creation of a committee of cybersecurity experts and digital.
The mandate of the committee is to offer an advisory role to the Minister, in particular with regard to
- the service offer of the Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital and the possibilities for its development;
- guidance for cybersecurity and digital policies or strategies;
- any project relating to information resources for the public administration;
- emerging industry trends and opportunities that may be of interest to public administration.
The committee is made up of 12 members from civil society, industry, including businesses, non-profit organizations, as well as academia. They cover, through their expertise, the fields of information security, including cybersecurity, as well as digital security.
The committee’s first meetings will focus on Québec’s achievements and positioning in relation to other public administrations in terms of cybersecurity and digital technology, as well as on the outlook in this area for the coming years. These findings and the resulting reflections will feed into the work of the Department.
