DUBAI, 25th September, 2022 (WAM) — The Dubai Metaverse Assembly will be hosted by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the DFF Board of Directors, September 28-29 at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071. This regional event, the first of its kind, will host 300 global experts and more than 40 organizations specializing in metaverse applications and virtual worlds.

This flagship event, which is one of the largest specialty events in the region, will explore the digital economy and determine how governments, businesses and communities can harness the limitless potential of the metaverse to create a bolder future.

More than 30 local and international leaders, including scholars, designers, builders, and metaverse specialists in virtual education, e-commerce, medicine, art, games, events, NFTs and other digital assets, will speak at the two-day event. Additionally, the event will host speakers from renowned global organizations such as Meta, Binance, Mastercard, The Sandbox, Bedu, PWC, Accenture, BCG Digital Ventures, Decentraland, Mastercard, among others.

The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications and Deputy CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, Omar Sultan Al Olama, remarked that the “Dubai Metaverse Assembly”, which is being held in Dubai this week, serves as a global platform bringing together technology experts and the metaverse community from around the world to define the possibilities and harness the potential of this promising virtual world.

Over 25 sessions, meetings and workshops will be held at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 at the Emirates Towers during the Dubai Metaverse Assembly. They will cover a wide range of topics: from building a robust and scalable metaverse infrastructure, to creating strong, business-friendly regulation, to delivering public services in the digital world. The world’s metaverse experts will gather in Dubai to discuss what big tech and private companies need to do to grow a sector that could top $30 trillion in 15 years.
