China’s influence in the world
The Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, the twentieth since the establishment of the CPC in 1921, ended on Saturday October 22. It brought together more than 2,300 people in Beijing, chosen by the party, to represent the 96 million CCP members. At this congress, Xi Jinping introduced the seven members of the Politburo Standing Committee, the core of Chinese political power. The Chinese president emerged stronger from this congress, remaining, unsurprisingly, the general secretary of the Party.

XI Jinping will therefore begin his third term as President of the People’s Republic of China in a few months. The election was obviously expected – and the very word election is naturally criticized by opponents of the Chinese regime. On this occasion, the entirety of this program is devoted to the China of XI Jinping and the hybrid war that China intends to wage, and perhaps amplify, against the West.
Who is Xi Jinping? What will his re-election change for the West? Could the geopolitics of the years to come be transformed by the victory of a hard wing in Beijing?
