EvidenceBthe EdTech start-up that offers the 1er adaptive learning tool based on cognitive sciences reinforced by artificial intelligence (AI) to fight against school dropout, announces that it has finalized a fundraising of 4 million euros.

This was driven and funded mainly by Educapital, the first European fund dedicated to the education sector, alongside Zanichelli Venture. Finorpa and IRD, its two historical investors, also participated in this new round.

At the same time, EvidenceB announces that it has won a major contract with the Ministry of National Education to deploy its solution for remediation in French and mathematics for all new high school students in France.

EvidenceB: cognitive sciences and AI to respond to the societal issue of school dropout

Founded in 2017, EvidenceB is a French EdTech that develops and deploys adaptive learning modules centered on fundamental knowledge, intended for students from primary to high school and their teachers.

Unique in the world, these solutionsAdaptive Learning of EvidenceB make it possible to fight against school dropout and to advance the learning of each student by combining:

? Cognitive sciences (to understand how students’ brains learn, the difficulties they encounter and the best approach to remedy them)

? Artificial Intelligence (to personalize learning paths and allow teachers to identify the difficulties and progress of each student).

? Digital learning interfaces (to stimulate the desire to learn and the motivation of the pupils).

A technology recognized in France and around the world

Since its creation, the start-up has been rewarded at 16 national and international competitions, a real record in the educational sector, among the most recent Tech4Good (France), Elite 200 of the ASU-GSV Cup (USA), BETT Award – Company of the Year and EdTechX Impact Award (UK and World).

EvidenceB has enjoyed remarkable success with the biggest players in education. In France, the Ministry of National Education has selected its Adaptiv’Math solution to be deployed in all primary schools in France. Adaptiv’Langue was chosen for the development of intuitive mastery of the French language in high schools in several regions of France. Finally, Adaptiv’Seconde, its solution dedicated to learning French and mathematics for all new high school students has also just been selected by the Ministry of National Education. EvidenceB has also developed modules with French publishers, including Hatier, Bordas, Nathan….

EvidenceB’s adaptive learning solutions have also convinced many key players internationally. The start-up now collaborates with ministries of education in Asia, the Middle East and the Maghreb, but also with reference publishers such as Marshall Cavendish, leader in Singapore for the teaching of mathematics, or Pearson Italia for second languages. It also works with Sanoma Italia, the Italian branch of the largest media group in the field of education in the world, alongside which it offers a platform for learning French and mathematics.

To date, EvidenceB also generates nearly 20% of its turnover internationally.” says Catherine de Vulpillières.

Fundraising to accelerate internationally

To continue this growth trajectory, EvidenceB has just finalized a fundraising of 4 million euros from Educapital, the first European fund dedicated to the Edtech sector.

Thanks to this operation, EvidenceB will be able to accelerate its development by integrating new skills and expertise, particularly within its R&D and marketing/sales teams, by increasing its workforce from 30 to 45 people in 18 months. This new funding should also allow the start-up to continue its international expansion.
