LG ThinQ: A smart net zero lifestyle guide

Saving energy at home just got a whole lot easier with the help of the LG ThinQ app and its smart features, which effortlessly optimize the energy efficiency of home appliances. The app even takes usage patterns into account — for example, it can adjust the fridge’s power consumption to the lowest level during nighttime hours. With the LG ThinQ application, it is also possible to check the status of all devices remotely and turn off the one you left on, wherever you are. For the washing machine, the app suggests an optimal cycle for the task — a cycle that uses only what is needed, based on determining the type of fabric and the weight of the load, to achieve the best results for laundry, and for the environment as well.

The Decentralize Impact program: The incubation phase has begun!

After the closure of the ideation and catalysis phases, Decentralize Impact officially entered its incubation phase on April 14, 2022. This pioneering national and regional innovation and incubation program is supported by the International Finance Corporation IFC and launched by Impact Partner, in collaboration with Dar Blockchain and 1.337 Digital Studio. The program aims to strengthen innovation in the Blockchain and entrepreneurship ecosystems through community-driven governance, feedback and engagement mechanisms incorporated into its management and voting model. The program is structured in three major phases, centered around six challenges and aimed at entrepreneurs and change leaders, who are interested in creating innovative solutions using Blockchain technology. The initial phase of Ideation lasted from December 10 to March 24. During this phase, 4 Blockchain workshops took place in Sfax, Sousse, Béja and Tunis. In addition, 2 online Blockchain hackathons were organized to help idea holders better shape their projects and expand their possibilities. At the end of this stage, a public voting session was organized on the DAO platform of Decentralize Impact, where project proponents, community members, experts and program partners respectively voted to select the 19 best projects. This participatory voting process is considered a first in Tunisia and North Africa, since all voting operations are Blockchain-based, using voting tokens that promote a transparent environment with fair access to opportunities. In the Catalysis phase, the teams participated in a digital bootcamp and developed their business models. Later, the public voting session was organized on the DAO platform and 10 projects were selected to be incubated. During the incubation phase, these teams will participate in a series of one-on-one sessions with experts in digital entrepreneurship and Blockchain technology, where they will receive in-depth feedback and be coached to develop their PoCs and MVPs. In mid-June, a public voting session and a demonstration day will be organized to determine the three winning projects. The latter will share a total prize pool of 17,000 dinars and will be supported to be incorporated and raise additional funds.
