Our Approach

ai-magazine is a reference site for people who work with AI: developers, practitioners, students and the technical people who decide which model to use. It has three parts, and the same approach runs through all of them.

Definitions first

Every glossary entry opens with a plain definition, before any history or theory. The goal is that the first paragraph alone answers the question that brought you to the page — the rest explains how the concept works, with a worked example or code where one helps.

Data over opinion

The model comparison section exists because “which model should I use” is usually answered with marketing copy or a single benchmark score taken out of context. Instead, every model page lists price, context window, limits and capabilities with a source and a date next to each value — see Sources and Methodology for exactly how that data is collected and cross-checked. Where two models are compared side by side, the better value in each row is marked by a rule stated on the page, not by an editor’s judgment call.

A human checks everything before it publishes

Drafts for the glossary and news are produced with the help of an internal writing tool, but nothing goes live without being read and checked against its sources first. Editorial Policy covers exactly what that process does and does not do.

Independent by design

ai-magazine does not accept payment for placement in the glossary, model pages or comparisons, and does not represent any AI vendor. Where sources disagree with each other, the disagreement is shown rather than resolved silently.
