Billing rules that change the price
- Prices are the paid tier, standard processing, for text input. Audio input costs more on several models, for example $1.00 on Gemini 3 Flash and Gemini 2.5 Flash and $0.50 on Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite.
- Gemini 3.8, 3.7 and 3.6 Flash are on launch pricing through December 31, 2026. From January 1, 2027, Gemini 3.8 Flash and 3.6 Flash rise to $1.50 input, $0.15 cached and $7.50 output. Google's page does not yet state the 2027 price for Gemini 3.7 Flash.
- Context caching on Gemini 3.8 Flash also charges storage: $1.00 per 1M tokens per hour.
- Gemini 3.1 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Pro charge higher rates once a prompt exceeds 200K tokens.
- A free tier exists for Gemini 3.8 Flash, 3.7 Flash, 3.5 Flash and 3.5 Flash-Lite. Gemini 3.1 Pro has no free tier.
- Batch prices are shown where Google lists them.

Does the Google Gemini API have a batch discount?
